TEA Party Meeting - July 27th!
Our next meeting is on Friday, July 27th, at 7pm, at Torrent Hall, also known as the safety complex. You will have a chance to hear from congressional candidate Rick Parent, and state senate candidate John Reagan. The address for the safety complex is 1 Scribner rd. Please park on the side of the road to allow for emergency vehicles to get in and out.
There are more events coming up as well! The Raymond Republican committee is hosting Frank Guinta and gubernatorial candidate Kevin Smith at Torrent Hall July 30th at 7pm. They are also hosting gubernatorial candidate Ovide Lamontagne at the High School cafeteria on August 28th at 6:30.
The political season is heating up and it's time for us to get back out there fighting for conservative, liberty minded candidates to get elected. We have to do our part in New Hampshire to make Obama a one term president, to keep our majority in the house, and put a conservative governor in to lead the "Live Free or Die" state.
I hope to see you all on Friday,
JACK IS BACK!

Positions of the Presidential Candidates
Which candidate are you voting for? With so many Republicans claiming to be the right one to beat Obama in 2012, some of which having solid conservative backgrounds, who will TEA Party activists get behind. Better yet, who SHOULD they get behind? Well, we have some information that hopefully makes your decision a little easier.
The 912 groups from Southern NH have worked very hard to investigate the positons and records of the presidential candidates in the Republican primary. Please spend some time looking over the chart they have built to make an informed decision. Each position is backed up by a source with a link. - Why the Founding Fathers believed that nullification was the “moderate middle ground”
- Why the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution reserves to the states the power to nullify unconstitutional laws
- Why states – not the Supreme Court – should arbitrate disputes between the states and the federal government over the constitutionality of the federal government’s actions.

Town of Raymond - Important Dates

Town of Raymond Draft Budget
The Town of Raymond's draft budget is in and can be seen by clicking HERE. It is up from last year, and considering the town population hasn't been climbing, in fact, due to foreclosures revenue has actually been down, this increased budget will increase the tax rate. Do you care? We need your input at the town budget committee meetings. Public input is on January 4th for the town budget and January 6th for the school budget. The entire meeting is dedicated to listening to the town's people. This is your opportunity to share your feelings on the growing town budget. Please come out to the High School library, at 7pm on January 4th and 6th.
Raymond Area T.E.A. Party Interview with Jeff Chidester
On November 24th, Brian and Nicole from the Raymond Area T.E.A. Party went on air, on 106.1, Portsmouth Community Radio with Jeff Chidester to talk about the T.E.A. Party movement, who it's made up of, and what they are trying to do. Along with them in the interview was Jerry DeLemus from the Rochester 9/12 group. To listen to the interview click here.
T.E.A. Party Victory for Speaker of the House
The newly elected republicans to the New Hampshire state house have chosen their candidate for speaker of the house. The have elected William O'Brien. Mr. O'Brian is very conservative and was the highest rated candidate for speaker by the House Republican Alliance, Republican Liberty Alliance as well as the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance. The Raymond Area TEA Party would like to thank all of the state representatives who supported Bill, as well as those of you who called your state reps and asked them to give him their vote. This decision shows that not only has the New Hampshire House changed, but so has the Republican party. Bill O'Brien will stand firm on his conservative principles and will not compromise the rights of the people. This is another victory on spreading freedom throughout the state of New Hampshire.
T.E.A. Party Victory in New Hampshire and Accross the Country!
Your hard work has paid off, our voice have been heard and the big government progressives have paid the price for growing government, supporting bailouts, and raising taxes. You helped turn the state of New Hampshire from liberal to conservative overnight and Ramond was a big help. Kelly Ayotte, Frank Guinta and Charlie Bass all won their race to represent you in Washington DC. Although John Stephen did not win the race for governor, we won overwhelmingly in the state house, the state senate, and the executive council which means that your voice will now be heard in Concord. The official numbers are being posted as they come in and can be found by clicking here. Thank you to everyone who helped get out the vote, and to those of you who ran for office. The fight is not over, we need your help at the local level and to keep your officials accountable. Please visit http://www.cnht.org/groups.php and find a group in your town, they need your help. We need to fight to keep spending low at all levels of government.
VOTE NOVEMBER 2ND!
The election is very close and your country, your state, and the future generations need your help. The choice on November is clear. The incumbents in Washington and Concord have chosen higher spending, higher taxes, and bigger government over the free market and lower taxes their constituents believe in. John Lynch, Carol Shea-Porter, and Paul Hodes have lead our state and country into record deficits and given government more power than ever at the cost of our freedom and our economy. Please vote for a new direction, lower taxes and less spending. Please vote for John Stephen, Kelly Ayotte and Frank Guinta to reverse the damage the incumbents have caused. We are in the final days and could use all the help we can get. If you are willing to donate money, stand at the polls, go door to door or anything else to help the candidates please click on their name,Frank Guinta, Kelly Ayotte, John Stephen. If you do not know what the ballot will look like or the candidates that will be on it, please click here and choose your town for a sample ballot. If you do not know where to go to vote please click here for a complete list of town's polling places.
New Hampshire Primary - John Stephen, Kelly Ayotte and Frank Guinta win nomination
The New Hampshire primary has come and gone and the people have spoken. Although the winners may not be the candidates you supported, the choices are clear for November if you wish to vote for freedom and liberty. I encourage you all to get behind the winners and help get out the vote for November so we can stop the government's out of control spending and continuing intrusion of our freedoms.
At our last meeting we all talked about the candidates we personally were supporting and why. Some of those candidates did not win but there is no question that the Raymond Area TEA Party had an effect on the votes by distributing the voter information flyers. Please click to see the complete vote count for the race for governor, senate, and congress in Raymond and the rest of Rockingham county. You will notice that the candidates who took the time to answer our questions preformed better in our area than others.
A few months ago I had opened our meeting by saying that the TEA Party movement is in its early stages and is just starting to have an effect on our nation. Our country did not fall into crippling debt and socialist policies overnight, and the grassroots groups throughout the country will not fix it overnight. It will take a long time to turn this country back to the roots in the constitution and I encourage you all to continue your vigilance and work to keep our government accountable.
John Stephen has won the nomination for republican candidate for governor. His experience in cutting costs as the head of Health and Human Services and his experience helping other states cut spending while working for The Lucas Group proves that his priority will be to keep costs down for New Hampshire's government. The incumbent democrat governor, John Lynch has added 84 new fees and taxes for New Hampshire tax payers and has increased spending by over 23% in the last 2 sessions. For those who are Taxed Enough Already, John Stephen is the best choice for governor.
Kelly Ayotte served the state of New Hampshire as the attorney general. She has made it clear during her campaign that the solutions for energy independence and health care reform lie in the free market and not bigger government. Kelly also supports the Arizona law to protect it's citizens from the increasing flow of illegal immigrants. Her democratic opponent, Paul Hodes, has voted with Nancy Pelosi over 94% of the time, has voted for the failed stimulus bill, and voted for the federal bailout of GM and Chrysler. For those looking for the candidate who will be a friend to the free market, Kelly Ayotte is the clear choice.
Frank Guinta has won the nomination for the republican candidate for congress district 1. When Frank was mayor of Manchester he kept the city accountable by implementing zero based budgeting and requiring justifications for spending. Frank's core beliefs are very conservative, and can be summed up best by what he said at our meeting, "liberals just don't understand why we don't want their help." Frank has made it clear that more government in your life is not the answer. His incumbent opponent, Carol Shea-Porter, has voted for the bailout of GM and Chrysler, the failed stimulus bill, the government takeover of healthcare, and the cash-for-clunkers program. For those of us who want government spending to go down, not up, the choice is Frank Guinta for congress.

July 1st Gubernatorial Debate LIVE
There was a gubernatorial debate on July 1st featuring all four candidates running in the primary. For those of you who missed it, the entire debate can be viewed online by clicking here. Special thanks to Granitegrok.com for filming and posting the event.
Hodes lies in internet ads
Some people will do anything to get elected and Paul Hodes is no exception. His campaign has been attacking Kelly Ayotte for some time accusing her of deleting e-mails that were sent and received while serving as the state's attorney general. The claims are false and have been checked by the bipartisan group FactCheck.org. A full article on the false accusations can be read by clicking here.

Date Change for June Meeting
We have changed the date for our June meeting to June 24th, Thursday. Fridays are tough for people because it's the start of the weekend and we understand. We will still be having Rich Ashooh for congress. Please bring your questions for the candidates to help us build the flyer which we are sending out to inform voters. We hope to see you there. There are a number of e-mails on our mailing list that are being rejected because they do not exist. I may have misread the address on the sign in sheet at the meeting. If you have signed up but are not receiving e-mails please submit your e-mail address again on our "Mailing List" page on the left side of the site.
Senate Debate
In May, the Rochester 9/12 group hosted a debate for the candidates for senate and posted a portion of it on the internet. If you were unable to attend the event it is a great way to get informed on the candidate's positions. There are more debates coming, please keep an eye on our events page to find a debate near you. To watch the senate debate hosted by the Rochester 9/12 group click here.
Protests and questioning at Carol Shea-Porter's town hall event
On April 8th Raymond Area T.E.A. Party joined with about 250 other constituents to voice how we feel about Carol's voting record. Many were not allowed into the meeting because of capacity restrictions and instead waited outside. If you were not able to make it Carol will be having other meetings throughout her district, to find an event near you go to our events page. Very few questions were answered without blaming Bush and the Republicans and after the meeting one thing was very clear, Carol is back in campaign mode. Here's a clip from Manuse Media Hub with just some of the feelings that were there.
April 15th, Tax Day T.E.A. Party
At 5:30pm on April 15th there will be a large rally in Manchester, at Victory Park. There will be a number of speakers and candidates attending. Last year there were 4,000 people, this year we hope to reach 5,000. So bring your friends and family and join with conservatives from around New Hampshire as we tell our state and federal government we are Taxed Enough Already!
March 25th Meeting
Thank you to all who came out to our event on March 25th. It is very exciting for all of us involved to see so many eager to get informed on the candidates. If you missed the event our speakers were gubernatorial candidate, Karen Testerman and congressional candidate Peter Bearse. Karen addressed the importance of family values and that we must "send Concord to rehab" to get them off their addiction to spending. Karen also believes it's very important to repeal the new LLC tax. Peter Bearse spoke about his history as a politcal activist, how he left the Democrat party in 1986, and that he feels the people are not represented. Peter believes their needs to be a better connection between congress and the people they represent. He wants to use electronic polling on the issues, and spending more time in New Hampshire than in Washington to use his position to empower the people.

Thursday, February 5th the Raymond area tea party met and discussed our mission statement, our goals and our direction. Republican Gubernatorial candidate Jack Kimball spoke on his position on taxes, state spending and veteran's rights. Kimball is dissapointed at John Lynch going back on his word and caving to special interest groups on the gay marriage bill. He also believes the state government can and must cut back spending to put money back in the pockets of the tax payer to help the local economy. Meeting together and having candidates state their position is a good way to get the voters eduacated and to get involved in the early primarys to produce candidates that will fight for our rights, and to keep our money in our pockets.
